Where is Indian Lake?

Harborside bridge in Russells Point
The Harbourside Bridge is one of Indian Lake's famous landmarks. It is located in Russells Point aand crosses the harbor there. The Harbourside bridge use to provide a walking path from one side of the harbor to the other during the "Million Dollar Playground Days". Winter is a fun time at the lake. We have tracking, snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice sailing and just viewing the lake's beauty. For guidelines on when the ice is safe please visit the forecast web page.Come see us soon.

The 5,800 acre lake offers unlimited horsepower boating, excellent inland lake sailing prospects, and features boat ramps and boat docks for rent. Water Skiing is popular in the open zone area. Several popular restaurants are accessible by both land and water. Buying boat gas and snacks is also possible from several on water locations. Weekend tournaments draw fishing boats and fishing enthusiasts from many parts of the state. The area is famous for year around recreation offering beaches, bicycle trails, hiking, camping, fishing, state park facilities, hunting, snowmobiling, ice skating and ice boating. Many RV parks are available around the lake. Volunteers work diligently to keep the waters of Indian Lake beautiful. Unique resort homes, fine condominium living, lakeside residences, gated communities, and other waterfront real estate line the various shores and can be seen when touring by boat. Scenic auto touring around the many islands and peninsulas reveal beautiful natural habitats. Night time entertainment with live bands and karoake are also popular at Indian Lake. Shopping for unique items, many made by our local talent , or for grocery specials for your outings plus other available services make Indian Lake a great place to live , spend a vacation, bring a loved one, rent an island or a cottage, have a retreat or family reunion or enjoy a honeymoon! Spooky Stuff - Rumors about ghosts?
Indian Lake - O'Conners Hotel - An old hotel that was burned down and now the ghost of the attendants that stayed there haunt it.

Indian Lake - Shawnee Island - When you go on Shawnee Island there is a church on the first road to the left. If you go there Halloween night at midnight you will see an old lady in the first row she will look at you then the room will fill up with smoke from candles and when it clears seconds later she is gone.

Guess this location: This is Indian Lake's spillway. The water flowing over the spillway begins the Great Miami River. The spillway is located on State Route 366 South. It is a favorite fishing spot. Water depth at the spillway is 4.6 feet at normal pool. Click here for a location map.
